Centennial Planning Timeline

A project application was submitted to the County in 2002 as the first step in the process to secure entitlements for development.

2008 - Los Angeles Board of Supervisors conducts public hearings to review and certify the EIR and approve the Specific Plan and other project entitlements.

Late 2007 - Planning Commission approves project and forwards to Board of Supervisors for consideration.

Mid 2007 - The County issues the draft EIR for review by public agencies and members of the community, who will have 45 days for review and to submit comments. The County of Los Angeles Regional Planning Commission then conducts public hearings to review and certify the EIR and approve the Specific Plan and other project entitlements.

February 2003 - The Specific Plan for Centennial, describing specific details of the proposed development, was submitted to Los Angeles County for review.

March 2004 - The Notice of Preparation, the initial step in preparing the draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) notifying the public of the proposed development, was issued, followed by a public review and comment period.

March 2004 - Scoping meetings seeking public input on specific issues being addressed in the draft EIR were conducted by the County.
